Forget clichéd souvenirs that are often, dare we say, a little on the tacky side. Introducing our exciting new Ki Gift Shop on the first floor of Ki Niseko, featuring unique gifts and souvenirs with a twist.

Opened in late December, the gift shop is filled with products all centred on the theme of Hokkaido. The stylish shop space aims to deliver unique gifts and souvenirs that represent Hokkaido's charm. Not only the products made in the Niseko area, but also from neighbouring provinces – some products exclusively available only at the Ki Gift Shop.

Kids T-Shirts By Niseko Town Artists

Pick up a super cute kids T-shirt with a fun, cute design inspired by the Kids' Strider event held in Niseko in summer. It features the print, "No more training wheels!" on the front of the T-shirt. Yuichi Hasegawa who is from Shimushi is responsible for designing this kids T-shirt – making molds, tag cutting, silk screen printing, packing, and more. Currently, Yuichi is a member of the creative group named Niseko City and is also doing T-shirt workshops at a studio in Kutchan.

Japanese Cloth Slippers

One of the gifts that has already proved very popular is the Japanese cloth slippers! This cloth slipper is a slip-on sandal style that is very comfortable and helps to relieve stress from your body thanks to the super soft materials they are made from. Crafted from soft cloths that are no longer user the slippers are very eco-friendly as well. On top of this, the slippers are part of a charity activity and made by people with disability in nearby Kutchan.

Local Hokkaido Made Cosmetics

Feel refreshed and rejuvenated with the local, Hokkaido made cosmetics at the Ki Gift Shop. Including shampoo, conditioner and body soap. all of the products are made using natural materials from Hokkadio. The products are also the same ones used in the Ki Onsen so now you can take a little bit of the onsen tranquility home with you.

Reputed as very good products for your skin, Ki Niseko is now proud to make these locally produced cosmetics available to its guests to purchase as a gift for loved ones or as souvenir for themselves.

The Ki Gift Shop also sells a range of exclusive branded merchandise like our limited edition sake cup. The beautiful, traditional-style wooden cup features the Ki logo for a stylish souvenir for yourself of friends. Not only does it function as a sake cup but can also be used in interior spaces – try using it a small planter box for succulents or cactus!

Why not choose a chic bag to put all of your new gifts and souvenirs in with the Ki Niseko tote bag also available. The bag is made from a thick, chocolate brown fabric with a unique print inside designed by a New York designer. Plus, the bag is reversible so it can be worn print-side-out as well so you can really show off the special design. Crafted in a water resistant fabric, the tote is perfect for carrying your towel and water to and from the onsen and also for storing your ski gloves and accessories over lunch.

There's also other fun gifts like the crafted wooden pens depicting Hokkaido's wild animals lie bovine, squirrels, Kita fox and Ezo deer. And for those with a sweet tooth there are delicious cookies for purchase, made in collaboration with a Kutchan cookie house.

Artist Hiroko Takahashi's Pen Drawings

After the success of Sapporo-based artist, Hiroko Takahashi's exhibition at the Ki Gallery in late 2016, pieces from her exquisite collection are now available for purchase at the gift shop.

The works feature ink drawings portraying the beauty and movement of Hokkaido animals, illustrated with fine detail.

"My artwork is about life around me. My philosophy of life is expressed through the ordinary subjects surrounding us," Hiroko explains.
