Winter Season - Front Desk
Start Date: 16 November 2026
- Handling check-ins and check-outs.
- Handling cash and credit card transactions.
- Reviewing guest accounts to make sure the charges are correct.
- Assisting with general guest and hotel enquiries.
- Answering both in-house and outside calls.
- Directing requests and issues to other departments within the hotel and back office for smooth daily operations.
- Responding to email enquiries.
- Handling private onsen booking requests.
- Assisting Concierge, Bellman, Driver, and Ski Valet when necessary.
- Passionate about hospitality service.
- Previous hospitality experience is a plus.
- Professional attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team player.
- English is a must, and ability to speak a second language (especially Japanese, Cantonese, or Mandarin) is a plus.
Pay Rate
- ¥1,750 - ¥2,050 per hour.
- 25% overtime rate for hours worked above prescribed working hours for the month.
- 25% late night work rate for work between 10pm and 5am.
Employment Period
- 16 November 2026 - 31 March OR 6 April 2027.
- Fully paid training at the start of the season.
- Opportunity for contract extension.
Hours
- Generally 5 days per week, around 40 hours per week.
- Hours will vary through the season depending on business levels with less hours at the start and end of the season and occasional overtime work during peak periods.
Lift Passes
- A Free Grand Hirafu season pass with an option of upgrading to All Mountain at an additional cost.
- If you do not need a pass, you will be offered a bonus payment.
Travel Support Bonus
- ¥50,000 travel cost support bonus upon contract completion for new staff or ¥80,000 for returning staff.
Subsidised Accommodation and Staff Shuttle
- Subsidised staff accommodation available in Hirafu or Kutchan with all utilities, basic supplies and WiFi included.
- For staff based in Kutchan, there is a free staff shuttle to transport to and from work in Hirafu.
- Staff accommodation is available until the end of the resort season. Plus, enjoy a rent-free week after your contract ends to relax and pack up at your own pace.
Free Ski & Snowboard Lessons
- Great for first-timers and beginners - free ski/snowboard group lessons with GoSnow (dependent on availability.)
