The first stage of Cow Parade Niseko is now underway, after the 47 life-size model cows that will make up the exhibition were delivered to Niseko last week. Artists will have a few weeks to complete their designs before the exhibit opens to the public on June 15, however a number have made great progress already.
Ki Niseko staff member and local artist Yuko Moroi has begun work on her two cows, choosing to complete her work in a Kutchan studio that has been set up for the occasion. Artists have also been allocated a space in Hirafu 188 overlooking Mt. Yotei, which is open for viewing should anyone want to get an early look at the cows in real life!
Anyone wandering through Niseko-Hirafu should also keep their eyes out for artist Yusuke Numata, who is busy painting his cow behind the window of the Explore Niseko building (next to Seicomart). Definitely worth a look!
