A Great Ride: Hanazono Hill Climb 2017

The Jaga Matsuri (Potato Festival) weekend saw fine weather and a great turn out for the 8th Hanazono Hill Climb in Niseko.

The annual cycling event, held on August 6th, started in the centre of Kutchan Town as part of the Jaga Matsuri and finished at Niseko Annupuri Goshiki Onsen (the border between Kutchan Town and Niseko Town). With an average grade of about 4.6%, the total race course travelled 16.0km.

As proud sponsors of the event, Ki Niseko is delighted to announce the winners and congratulate all participants.

After a fierce battle with Makoto Morimoto in the Road Elite Category race, Adam Smith took out the victory. Both riders completed the race in record time with good weather and wind conditions on their side.

As winner of the major race prize, Mr Morimoto won a one night stay in a 2 Bedroom Condo for four people at Ki Niseko including breakfast at An Dining. Congratulations Makato!
