An Dining Hosts Orphan Ski Day Lunch at Ki Niseko

We were delighted to invite orphaned children from a local child care facility to have lunch with us again this year at An Dining as part of the now annual Orphan Ski Day. An Dining was proud to sponsor the lunches for this very special event.

Now in its third year running, the fantastic event focused on contributing to the Niseko community, was held over two days on March 29th and 30th, 2017. The day is a co-operative sponsorship between Tokyu Resort Services, An Dining and GoSnow, with Hokkaido Tourism Management (HTM) organising the event. In addition, Tokyu donated free lift passes and the ski race equipment.

With the ski activities hosted by official international snow sports school of Grand Hirafu Resort, GoSnow, the event was based at Grand Hirafu, just outside Ki Niseko. To recharge and refuel, a delicious lunch was sponsored by the wonderful team at An Dining for the children, as well as the team at GoSnow.

The two day event, which saw two different groups of children participate, was a wonderful opportunity for the kids to have fun on the slopes, creating great memories of spring break.

Each day included an Opening Ceremony and warm up with GoSnow instructors and mascots, Ninchan and Ninja Kid, following by a morning of ski lessons. After lunch, everyone enjoyed downhill ski races with a special certificate ceremony at the end of the day to celebration all of the kids' achievements.

Seeing the smiles on the faces of the kids during their lunch break was very special for the team at An Dining and Ki Niseko, and was a fabulous and rewarding way to celebrate spring.

We look forward to the opportunity of hosting lunch again here at Ki Niseko.
