Niseko enjoyed a sensational start to the year, delighting visitors to the resort with perfect blue skies, sun and 17cm of fresh snow. Even Mt. Yotei made an appearance for the occasion, the volcano losing the layer of cloud that typically covers its crater for much of the season.
